The modernisation of Letsi HPP, Lilla Lule River, performed by Vattenfall AB Vattenkraft is getting closer to the end. The aim is to renew unit 1 and 2 with among several items new stators supplied by VG Power. Unit 1 is already in operation since last year and unit 2 is now being installed.
The new stator rated 173MVA, 16kV is weighing 200 tonnes. Besides new stators are we also supplying new thrust bearings and brackets together with other auxiliary equipment. Unit 2 is expected to be back in operation early 2010.
