VG Power has together with Voith Hydro Norway signed a contract with Glomma Kraftproduktion AS for supply of 6 complete new units for Rånåsfoss HPP where our part is to deliver the generators rated 16 MVA, 120 rpm.
In the existing plant from 1922 will the turbines be exchanged by Voith Hydro to a new design with propeller turbines that also has been model tested by Voith Hydro. Total value of the contract is more the 50 M€ and our share for the generators is an important part of the scope. The units will be installed and commissioned between 2012 and 2015.
