Unit 2 in Lotru HPP, Romania, has now since mid of February been in successful operation on time according to contract signed with client Hidroelectrica in April 2007. The scope of supply was new stator, rotor poles, new rotor rim, excitation and complete refurbishment of other remaining parts.
The site activities are now proceeding with the rehabilitations of unit 1 and 3, both are expected to be ready for operation this year. All generator works has been procured by VG Power together with Voith Hydro S:t Pölten, Austria, who are responsible for the turbine part (pelton).
